Animal Ministry

Compassion Is Holy

Nobody should have to choose between keeping their pet and keeping food on the table.

A ministry of practical love in Solano, Napa, and Sonoma Counties — keeping families and their pets together through food, spay/neuter assistance, and education.

Our Mission

A ministry of practical love — one community at a time.

When a family hits a hard month, the pet is often the first thing they're told to give up.
We think that's the wrong answer.

We’d love to help.

Why Saint Valentine

Love that shows up as help.

Saint Valentine is remembered as a symbol of love in action — not romantic love, but love that shows up as help.

That's the whole model here. A family hits a hard month, and instead of surrendering the pet they love, they get food, care, and support to stay together.

His feast day is the fourteenth of February.
We think of it as the ministry's birthday.

The Three Pillars

What we do.

  1. 1

    Pet Food Pantry

Food and pet supplies for families going through a hard stretch, so a tight month doesn't mean giving up a pet.

  2. 2

    Spay & Neuter Assistance

Help covering spay/neuter costs, drawing on direct animal-shelter experience to prevent the overpopulation and cost pressure that often leads to surrender down the line. As the ministry grows, this expands to broader emergency vet bill assistance.

  3. 3

    Education & Prevention

Behavior counseling, pet retention resources, and practical advice — helping families work through the everyday problems (chewing, accidents, anxiety) that are among the most common, and most preventable, reasons pets get given up.

Compassion is holy.
It is also practical — a bag of food, a vet bill, a phone call answered.

Wear it. Fund it.

Everything here funds the ministry directly — and everything here is a way to carry it with you. Food for the pantry, spay and neuter vouchers, and the cost of becoming a fully recognized nonprofit.
